Open Beetroot Sandwich 

Ingredients of Open Beetroot Sandwich

  • 1 French bread (halved length-wise)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil / melted butter
  • 1 tbsp Garlic, chopped
  • To season Pepper
  • 250 gram Cooked beetroot (peeled), sliced
  • Handful Young beetroot leaves
  • Red wine/ vinegar
  • A squeeze of Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 150 gram Sauteed mushrooms-sliced
  • 1 Apple, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 100 gram Cheese, sliced
  • To finish Olive oil
  • Avocado Slices (optional)

How to Make Open Beetroot Sandwich

1.Brush the bread with oil mixed with garlic.
 
2. Sprinkle with pepper. Place under a grill to color.
 
3. Set beetroot slices aside.
 
4.Toss beetroot leaves in a pan with wine, lemon juice and oil.
 
5. Allow it to wilt over a moderate flame.
 
6.Toss apple and basil in hot oil. Season.
 
7. Saute the mushrooms in some butter. Cut some avocado slices (optional).
 
8. Arrange all ingredients on the bread in any order.
 
9. Serve immediately with a sprinkling of olive oil over the top
