This is a healthy and refreshing indulgence
that combines antioxidants from the cherries, and protein from the
yogurt. It has a lightly sweet and wonderfully tart taste that both
children and adults will like.
Ingredients for Tart Cherry Ice Cream:
Cherries - 2 cups (frozen)
Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
Greek Yogurt - 1 cup
Honey - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparing the Tart Cherry Ice Cream:
In a food processor, blend the cherries, vanilla extract, and 1/2
cup of yogurt until the mixture is smooth.
Move the mixture into a container. Blend the other 1/2 cup of yogurt
with the honey and lightly drizzle it on top of the cherry mixture.
Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
Chef's Tip:
You can pour the mixture into popsicle molds too, or enjoy it unfrozen
as a morning smoothie.
