INGREDIENTS
for gravy
oil 2 tbsp
onion 3 sliced\garlic 1 tsp
ginger 1 tsp
green chilies chopped 1 tsp or to taste
cashew nuts 10-12
turmeric pdr. 1/2 tsp
garam masala pdr. 1/2 tsp
kitchen king masala 1/2 tsp
pepper pdr 1/4 tsp or to taste
water 1-2 tbsp
In a pan, heat oil, add garlic, ginger fry on low flame for 2 minutes, add onion, fry till light brown add green chilies, add cashew nuts, fry well for 2 minutes.
mean time, mix all the masala pdr, including turmeric in a small cup, add to onion, mix well, switch off gas after a minutes, add water, blend to a smooth paste
FOR KOFTA
grated potato ( after washing and peeling) 1/2 cup
onion finely chopped 1 tbsp
ginger finely chopped 1/2 tsp
green chilies finely chopped 1/2 tsp or chili pdr. to taste
jeera coarsely crushed 1/2 tsp
hing little
atta/ whole wheat flour 1/4 cup
besan/ chick pea flour 1 tbsp
baking soda a pinch
salt to taste
kasturi methi 1 tsp
butter 1 tbsp
oil for shallow frying
Mix all the ingredients till kasturi methi well, make small koftas ( balls), shallow fry till golden, drain and keep in serving bowl
if excess oil, i.e. more than 1 tbsp, remove that oil, leaving as needed, add jeera 1/2 tsp, add ground paste, salt to taste, crushed kasturi methi, water 1/2 cup, let it simmer for 5 minutes, add koftas,butter, mix well, serve garnished with coriander leaves with hot rice/ roti/ pulao.
