Ingredients for rice
Rice washed 1 cup
arhar/ tuvar dal 1/2 cup
spinach washed and finely chopped 2 cups
onion finely chopped 1
tomato finely chopped 2
carrot finely chopped 1
turmeric pdr. 1.2 tsp
red chilli pdr. 1 tsp.
green chillies slit 2
salt to taste
coriander leave
water 3 1/2 cups
for tempering
ghee/ oil 2 tbsp
mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
jeera 1/2 tsp
red chillies 2-3
hing 1/4 tsp
curry leaves 1 sprig chopped
Method
in a pressure cooker, add all the ingredients for rice, add water, mix well, close and cook for 4-5 whistles, once pressure goes, open
in a small pan/ kadai, heat oil/ ghee, add mustard seeds, once it crackles, add jeera, hing, red chillies, remove, add curry leaves, pour over rice, mix well
serve hot with plain curd or cucumber raita and chips/ papad to make a complete meal
