INGREDIENTS
rice flour 1 cup
pottukadalai pdr ( roasted gram used for chutney) 1/4 cup
salt to taste
chili pdr. to taste
hing little
ghee 2 tbsp
ajwain ( carom seeds) 1/2 tsp OR jeera( cumin) 1/2 tsp
water as needed to make dough
oil to fry
METHOD
mix rice flour, pottukadalai pdr together, along with salt, hing, chili pdr., ghee well
add ajwain, mix well, add little water to make soft dough, which you'ld be able to squeeze easily through your mould ( chakli mould).
keep oil to heat in a pan/ kadai, in medium hot oil, squeeze little rounds, fry till crisp, drain, once cool store.
pottukadalai pdr. can be made in a mixie, by just adding the dal and grinding it to a fine powder.
