Jaggery halwa

 INGREDIENTS

grated jaggery 1 cup

rava/ suji  1 cup

ghee 1/2 cup 

nuts- kaju, almonds, walnuts

raisins 1/4 cup

salt a pinch

water 2 cups

cardamom pdr 1/2 tsp


METHOD

take a pan, dry roast the nuts one by one turning till slightly golden

keep the nuts on a chopping board and lightly crush them

heat water in a pan, once it boil, add the grated jaggery, and salt, cook till well blended, strain it and keep aside

in a pan, heat ghee, add rava and roast in medium- low flame turning for 8=1- minutes 

now gradually add the jaggery syrup, stirring constantly so that there no lumps.

keep stirring till it leaves the sides of the pan.

add cardamom pdr

put in bowls, decorate with the nuts and raisins.

serve hot or cold.
