I had chopped beetroot with the intention of making veggie. Then my sweet tooth made me try this beet halwa, which came out quite tasty.
Ingredients and Prep
beetroot 1 small chop and grind with some cashews adding little water or milk to a fine paste
milk 500 ml
rice flour 2 tbsp
sugar 3-4 tbsp as per taste
cardamom pdr 1/2 tsp
After grinding beet with cashew well, I poured the mixture in a micro safe dish
added rice flour, mixed well, added milk and sugar, mixed, micro high 2 minutes
remove, stir well, repeat 5-6 times, stirring well after each time you remove.
Once it was getting thick, I added cardamom pdr before the last 2 minutes.
There is no fat in this halwa. It is healthy, protein rich simple dessert.
