Well, I just wanted the youngsters who like making roti / parantha, but don't possess tawa, kindly don't fret, your kadai / flat pan will come to your aid ! We've to be innovative.
It is not that I don't possess a tawa, I've a heavy iron tawa, but to make 2 methi rotis for myself, I didn't feel like taking it out, as more work, I've to first get hot to make roti, after I make, it takes more than double the time to cool down, wash, then dry it completely to store it or else it will rust.
All you need to know is wait for your kadai or pan to get hot, then out the roti, turn it once bottom is cooked just like what you do on a tawa, I smeared little ghee to cook my roti, it was nice hot and crisp, which I just finished eating with my mixed veges with curd !
The other advantage of using the kadai is, tomorrow if I'm going to make some veges, I'll use it, I needn't take the trouble of washing it now !
