Kesar malai peda

ingredients

milk  4 cups
saffron few strands
citric acid a pinch
cornflour 2 tsp dissolved in 2 tbsp of milk
cardamom pdr.  1/4 tsp
sugar substitute  10 tsp
almonds  8 chopped

Method
bring milk to a boil in a deep pan & simmer till it reduces to 1/2 its original quantity.
add saffron & mix well. mix citric acid in 2 tsp. of water & add to thickened milk
add dissolved cornflour, stir continuously till the mixture thickens
add cardamom pdr., mix well
remove pan from heat, stir in sugar substitute, cool.
divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into pedas.

sprinkle almonds over the pedas & serve.
