HEALTHY DAL SOUP

INGREDIENTS

tuvar dal well cooked   1 cup
water as needed, roughly 1/2 cup
salt and pepper pdr. to taste
ginger paste 1 tsp

for tempering
heat butter  1 tbsp
add cooked rice  1 tbsp, fry for 2-3 minutes on low flame add to dal when you serve in the bowl

METHOD

heat dal with water as needed, add seasoning, ginger paste, let it boil well
remove, serve in a bowl, adding tempering
ps- those who wish to omit the tempering, are free to do so, instead serve with nicely toasted bread, or bread sticks.
