apple-bread pudding

ingredients

bread slices  6
thin custard   1 1/2 cups
butter  1 tbsp + few lumps
apple diced   1 cup
orange juice  1/2 cup
brown sugar   3 tbsp
cinnamon pdr.  a dash
walnuts chopped   1/4 cup

Method

remove crust from bread slices, break into small pieces
take a baking tray, grease it well
spread the bread pieces evenly to cover it
pour the custard gently all over to soak the bread, do not mix
melt butter, add orange juice & brown sugar
add apple once sugar has melted, quickly cook apple until the juice has 1/2 evaporated
pour the mixture over the bread pieces, sprinkle some cinnamon pdr & walnut pieces
place little evenly all over
heat oven to 175 deg. c, bake pudding for 25-30 minutes or till done
serve either warm/ cold
