Ingredients
Oats 1/2 Cup
Broken Wheat /Daliya 1/2 Cup
Chopped Spinach 1/2 Cup
Curd 1/4 cup
Green chilli Paste 1/2 teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Eno Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Method
grind the oats to a coarse powder.
Heat a pan and dry fry the broken wheat till a nice aroma comes and turns slightly red color.
Put in a bowl, add coarsely ground oats, curd, green chilli paste, and salt
Mix all the ingredients by adding water little by little to get a thick consistency, keep it aside covered for at least 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, mix the batter well, if too thick, add more water to get the idli batter consistency.
Add chopped spinach to the batter, mix well, check for the consistency of the batter, if need be add some more water.
Add Eno fruit salt, sprinkle some water over it, you can see it bubbling, mix lightly
Pour into a greased plate, keep in a steamer/ cooker which is already hot, cover the vessel
let it steam for 25 minutes on medium flame, check if it is done, by inserting a knife/skewer in the middle, if it comes out clean, then it is done, or let it steam for another 5 minutes or so
remove, cool completely, cut into desired shape, serve with chutney of your choice.
