INGREDIENTS
chana dal 1/2 cup
arhar dal 3/4 cup
dry red chilies 10-15 as per taste
hing 2 big pinches
salt to taste
drumstick leaves 1 cup
METHOD
wash well the leaves after removing all the bad or unwanted ones, then strain well, you may dry them in the microwave-safe plate till dry. It can be done, by running the microwave for a minute, then turn them all over and dry till crisp.
In a kadai/ pan, add chana dal and 1/2 of the dry red chilies, with wee bit f salt, roast till the dal has turned light brown, remove on to a plate to cool.
In the same kadai/ pan, add the arhar dal and roast till light brown with rest of the red chilies as needed. Remove, cool, grind dals well first 3-4 parts till well done along with salt to taste, adding dried drumstick leaves.
I enjoyed this powder for my dinner to-night.
ps- drumstick leaves can be dried on a pan too !
