INGREDIENTS
2 cups roasted oats, powdered
2 cups dahi / curd
½ cup water
½ tsp salt
Finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot, and coriander leaves
1 tsp olive oil
How to prepare:
- Mix the powdered oats and curd together in a bowl, and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes
- After 20-25 minutes, add water to make a batter with thick yet runny consistency
- Add all the chopped vegetables, salt to taste, and mix everything properly
- Heat the appam maker, and grease the pan
- Now, pour the batter carefully in the appam maker and cover it with a lid. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Flip the appam, and cook on the other side as well
- Serve hot with coconut or green chutney
This snack is not only healthy, but will keep you full for a long time. Plus the veggies and curd help with improved digestion, and oats, as we all know, are a good source of carbohydrates and fibre!
