This sweet was called MSC-milk 3: sugar 2: coconut 1 is the proportion, easy to remember.
Ingredients
milk 3 cups
sugar 2 cups
fresh grated coconut 1 cup
semolina / suji ( 1/2 cup optional)
ghee 2 + tbsp
nuts
Method
in a heavy pan, add the first 3 ingredients, mix well, keep it on low flame and keep stirring every 3-4 minutes.
once the mixture was little thick, I found it to be very sweet ( though I've a sweet tooth, I don't like my desserts to be very sweet), so, I added suji, little at a time, stirring well. Once I added all the suji, I added a tbsp of ghee and kept stirring on low flame, then added another tbsp of ghee and mixed well, till it started leaving the sides of the pan
I spread on a greased plate, sprinkled some nuts on top and pressed it down and left it to set for about 2 hours.
Then cut into diamonds or whatever shape you prefer.
ps- you need to add ghee only if you're adding suji, as the milk + coconut itself has enough fat.
sorry wasn't able to load the photo, as I was experiencing problem since yesterday.
