Garlic-Dill Dressing

This dressing is great for salads and as a dip! It's a creamy yet light dressing that's easy to make and can be stored in the fridge for when you want a salad. It typically consists of sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, and dill. What's more, garlic dill dressing isn't just great on salads but can even be used as a dipping sauce for veggies, or as a sauce for chicken and fish.

Garlic-Dill Dressing    

Ingredients for Garlic-Dill dressing: 
 
Mayonnaise - 1 cup 
 
Garlic - 1 tbsp. (crushed ) 
 
Dill - 2 tbsp. 
 
Onion powder - 2 tsp. 
 
Milk - 2-3 tbsp. 
 
Salt - to taste
 
Black pepper - to taste 
 
 
Method of preparing the Garlic-Dill dressing:  
 
Mix all the ingredients together until a smooth consistency is reached. 
 
Fix the seasoning to taste. 
 
The sauce will stay fresh for 1-2 weeks.

Pizza Dip Supreme

How does a dip that reminds you of pizza minus the crust sound? It sounds fantastic to us, so we had to share this delicious dip recipe with you!
Pizza Dip Supreme

Ingredients for Pizza Dip Supreme: 
 
Cream cheese - 8 oz (softened) 
 
Italian cheese blend - 2 1/2 cups (divided) 
 
Garlic powder - 1 tsp. 
 
Pizza sauce - 1/2 cup 
 
Mini pepperoni slices - 1/4 cup  ( vege substitute- soy proteins, wheat glutens, tofu, legumes and vegetables)
 
Italian sausage - 1/2 cup (cooked and crumbled (substitute -Mushrooms, aubergines and various types of beans can provide a really hearty, meaty taste
 
Black olives - 2 tbsp. (sliced) 
 
Red onion - 2 tbsp. (diced) 
 
Green bell peppers - 2 tbsp. (diced) 
 
Italian seasoning - 1 tsp
 
 
Method of preparing the Pizza Dip Supreme: 
 
Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a small bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of Italian cheese blend, the Italian seasoning, and the garlic powder until fully combined. 
 
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8-inch cast-iron skillet. 
 
Pour the pizza sauce over the cheese layer and spread evenly. 
 
Top with the remaining 1 cup of Italian cheese, pepperoni slices, sausage, olives, green pepper, and red onion. 
 
Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbling. 
 
Allow to cool slightly, then serve and enjoy.

Creamy Sweet Potato Dip

The perfect healthy snack, nutritious appetizer or deeply flavored sauce. Enjoy it with pita bread, roasted baguette slices, as a topping for bruschetta or as a dip for nachos.
Creamy Sweet Potato Dip


Ingredients for dip:  
 
Bread - 1 loaf (or any snack you'd like to dip) 
 
Sweet potato - 1 (roasted and mashed) 
 
Greek Yogurt - 5 oz. 
 
Honey - 2 tbsp. 
 
Chili powder - 1/4 tsp.
 
Salt - 1/2 tsp. 
 
Garlic - 2 cloves (minced) 
 
 
Method of preparing the dip: 
 
If you're using bread slices to dip, preheat oven to 350°F. 
 
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until crisp. 
 
Remove from the oven and turn up the heat to 400°F. 
 
Wrap the potato in foil and roast for 85 minutes. 
 
Once cooled down, scrape out its flesh into a bowl, mix with the yogurt, honey, chili powder and salt, stirring with a fork until smooth. Serve alongside the bread.

Summer Beet Salad

Ingredients for summer salad
 
Beets - 3, small 
 
Garlic - 1 clove (minced) 
 
Parsley leaves - a handful (chopped) 
 
Feta cheese - 2 oz. (cubed) 
 
Olive oil - as needed
 
Apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp. 
 
salt n pepper to taste
 Summer Beet Salad
 
Method of preparing the summer salad: 
 
Stir all ingredients and garnish with some more parsley. Enjoy!

Beet Carpaccio

The perfect fancy starter for those of us who prefer vegetables over meat. The beats remain fleshy even when they're sliced thin, which makes them the perfect candidate for a meat substitute. Serve with or without the cheese for vegetarian or vegan options.

Beet Carpaccio

 
Ingredients for carpaccio: 
 
Beets - 2 
 
Salt and Pepper - as needed 
 
Olive oil - 4 tbsp. 
 
Crème fraiche - 1/4 cup (optional)  sour cream is closest to Creme fraiche
 
Mustard - 1 tsp. 
 
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp. 
 
White wine vinegar - 1 tbsp. 
 
Arugula leaves - a handful 
 
Pine nuts - 1 tbsp. 
 
 
Method of preparing the carpaccio: 
 
Preheat oven to 350° F (180°C), and place the beets on pieces of aluminum foil large enough to wrap with. Sprinkle salt, pepper and 2 tbsp oil. 
 
Wrap each beet separately and tightly and heat in the oven for 40 minutes. 
 
Combine crème fraiche, mustard, vinegar, olive oil and mustard seeds. 
 
Let the beets cool down, peel and slice using a sharp knife or mandoline. 
 
Arrange the slices on a plate, spread the arugula and pine nuts over and top with mustard sauce.
