Ingredients:
- 1 cup moong dal (split yellow lentils), soaked for 2-3 hours
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional) or green chilies finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Drain the soaked moong dal and blend it into a smooth batter with some water.
- In a bowl, mix the dal batter with chopped onions, tomatoes, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle.
- Cook on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
- Pack with green chutney or ketchup.
