Moong Dal Cheela

 India Tv - Moong Dal Cheela   

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup moong dal (split yellow lentils), soaked for 2-3 hours
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional) or green chilies finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Drain the soaked moong dal and blend it into a smooth batter with some water.
  2. In a bowl, mix the dal batter with chopped onions, tomatoes, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle.
  5. Cook on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Pack with green chutney or ketchup.
