HEALTHY EGG-LESS OATS-CARROT CAKE

INGREDIENTS
oats powdered 1 cup
whole wheat flour 2 tbsp
carrot grated 1/2 cup ( 4 small carrots about 5" each)
cane sugar 1/2 cup ( you may use normal sugar too and add more as per taste) as this is mildly sweet only.
banana mashed 1/2 cup ( 2 tiny bananas)
curd 1/2 cup
milk 1/4 cup roughly
baking pdr. 1 tsp
baking soda 1/2 tsp
cinnamon pdr. 1/2 tsp
coconut oil 1 tbsp

METHOD
1) powder oats and keep aside mixing well baking soda and baking pdr.
2) instead of grating carrot, I minced it in the blender
3) mash banana well, add sugar beat well, add curd,  milk and oil, beat well
4) add oats, carrot, mix well, add flour, cinnamon pdr.
5) grease a microwave safe dish well, pour the batter, which should be like "idli batter", bake in the normal microwave for 8 minutes, rest it for 2 minutes, before you remove, wait for another 2 minutes to cut and serve. It can be baked in the oven too at 170 deg. C for about 20 minutes or till done, as normally in my oven it gets done in about 15 minutes. as it depends on the size, power etc.
I'm sorry these were the last 2 pieces left, as I distributed to my friends here. It has come our very soft, of course before distributing, gave it to hubby to taste, straight off the microwave, he said it tastes good !

Tips For Eating and Handling Food

1.You should soak plastic work surfaces in water and vinegar If you’re using a plastic work surface to prepare food, be sure to soak it down with water and vinegar when you’re done, in order to kill any bacteria that might have accumulated. If possible, prepare food on a wooden work surface instead, as wood contains natural disinfectants.
2. Finish off a bottle of wine within the following time-frames Make sure you finish off a bottle of red wine not longer than eight hours after opening. On the other hand, white wine keeps slightly longer. Place it in the refrigerator and consume within 10-12 hours of opening.
3. Replace sugar with stevia Stevia, or sugar leaf, is a plant similar to mint that’s 30 times sweeter than sugar, yet contains no calories whatsoever. One-third of a leaf is enough to sweeten a drink, however you can also buy stevia extract.
4. Pour sugar on fruit if you want to freeze it This will help it retain its flavor.
5. Prepare dough according to the season Use cold water in the winter and ice water in the summer to inflate dough to its maximum height.
6. Note that fat percentages in milk are almost negligible There is almost no difference between the percentages of fat in milk. Drinking milk is always at 3% fat. Milk with 0% fat is actually milk water (the water remaining in the process of churning cream, butter, cheese).
7. Let your plants enjoy your discarded eggshells Eggshells contain 100% calcium. Simply add the fragments to the water you use for watering your plants.
8. Good-quality olive oil should be unaffected by being stored in the refrigerator You can determine the quality of olive oil by how it behaves once it comes back to room temperature. Chilling it will likely make it cloudy and begin to solidify, however it should return to its normal consistency when you take it out of the refrigerator.

9. It’s impossible to freeze sugar or alcohol Try as you might, neither sugar not alcohol can be frozen.
10. Puff pastry should really be avoided If you really must use puff pastry in a recipe you have in mind, refrain from freezing it after preparation.
11. It’s better to defrost something gradually A food item that you want to defrost should be placed in the refrigerator overnight first, then taken out, and left to finish defrosting on the following day.
12. Whole wheat products can reduce sugar craving If you happen to be hooked on sugar, try eating whole wheat products to feel your cravings subside.

13.Dairy products should be stored at the bottom of your refrigerator
The coldest part of your refrigerator is the bottom, so keep your milk and other dairy products as low down as you possibly can.

14.  The following are three best practices for handling eggs
• Always wash your hands after touching eggs.
• Store eggs in the refrigerator and keep them well away from other products. The door is the best place for doing so.
• Do not wash eggs unless you intend to use them there and then.

Potatoes Banish Rust from Metal

Are your old tools or kitchen utensils starting to look like antiques? Restore them to their former glories by chopping a potato in half, adding a liberal amount of soap or salt to the cut end and rubbing it over the affected surface. Rinse and dry the object thoroughly afterwards. This works great along the edge of large carving knives!

POTATOES MAKE GOOD PLANT FEED !

The nutrients in potatoes will help your pot plants grown. You can either carve a small hole in the potato and plant the stem of the flower inside it, before putting the whole thing into the soil; or you can sprinkle some potato shavings into the soil around your already growing flowers to give them a fantastic, natural boost.

POTATO HELPS SHINE YOUR SILVERWARE !

If your cutlery is cloudy and your trinkets are tarnished, why not use a potato to restore their sparkle? You can rub a raw potato over the items if you like, but I find it best to soak them in potato water. This also means you don't have to use extra potatoes to perform the task, simply use the water from the batch you have boiled for your dinner. Add any peeled skins into the water for great results.

Potato Helps Remove a Broken Light Bulb from a Socket

This use of potatoes is trumpeted by numerous sources! At some point in your life, you've probably faced the annoyance of a light bulb breaking as you attempt to unscrew it. You might be wondering why companies can't design bulbs that don't do this, but in the mean time, you have a trusty potato to help you deal with the problem. Cut the potato in half, and gently press the flat side on to the remainder of the bulb. When the bulb is firmly inserted, you can simply screw it out.

Potatoes not only cleans windows, glasses too !

Potatoes make for a terrific non-toxic glass cleaner. Take a raw, uncooked potato and rub if over your windows, car windscreen, or even eye glasses, before wiping away the juice with a clean cloth. You will be left with gleaming glass, without damaging your hands or leaving the smell of chemicals up your nostrils. This works well on clear plastic like swimming or ski goggles as well.

Potatoes are great stain removers !

Foods like turmeric, berries, and beets are fabulous additions to any meal, but they have a habit of leaving their traces all over your hands. It can take a lot of scrubbing with normal soap to remove these stains, and it's really hard to reach underneath your nails.

Don't fear though, just keep half a potato back when preparing the dish and rub it over the affected area to magically remove the blemish! Make sure you get right under your nails too. This will work well on grass and ink stains as well.
