Burnt Pot / Pan- Easy Ways to clean

At times, due to some other work/ distractions, we get about the food we've kept on the gas. It is only when we get the smell of burnt food, we realise our mistake. Now, I'll tell you two easy ways to clean the burnt pot/ pan.

Put the pot/ pan on the gas with equal parts of water and white vinegar enough to cover the burnt area. Once the water starts to boil, lower the gas, let it simmer for some time, you'll realise that the burnt parts are slowly coming out. At this time, take a ladle and push the burnt parts, it will all come out floating. Switch off, throw the water, now you can easily scurb as usual clean !

A second way is in case you don't have vinegar, put enough water to cover the burnt area, then cut a big onion, put slices in the water, let it simmer for about 5-6 minutes after it boils, you can now push the burnt part with a ladle easily. Once you've managed to get it all out, switch off the gas, throw the water, scrub as usual.

The best way to prevent food burning is to have the timer on. As you know once it rings, you're reminded about what you're cooking, even when you're attending to some other work.

Tip to cook in stainless steel pan without food sticking !

How To Cook Without Food Sticking

Did you know that one of the reasons why stainless steel cookware is so popular is that the steel has pores (a bit like your skin). If your pan isn’t heated up properly pores opening and closing will latch onto your food, making it stick when you try to turn it over.

You can cook fish, chicken or any food easily in your Stainless Steel Pan without it sticking when you use this tip from Our Savory Life.

Simply drop an eighth of a teaspoon of cold water into the pan as it heats up. You need to measure the water precisely with your measuring spoons as 1/4 of a tsp is too much. If nothing happens, the pan is too cold, if it bubbles and steams, the pan is too hot – when you see a perfect bubble forming, it’s just right.

Banana, oatmeal pancakes

Pancakes are the perfect, exotic breakfast that everyone loves. However, traditionally, refined flour, butter, and various other unhealthy ingredients are used in making the pancakes. To make a healthier version, here is what you can do.

Add 2 cups of oats, one mashed banana, 1 cup of protein powder, and some skimmed milk into a blender. Add a pinch of baking powder to it. Blend the mix. This will make the pancake batter smoother. Pick a non-stick pan, and pour the batter on the pan, after turning the stove on. When little bubbles appear on the top surface of the pancake, flip it. Let it cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute on the other side, and take it off into a plate.

You can make as many of these as you wish, and serve them with maple syrup, honey, or chocolate syrup, depending on what you prefer.

The pancakes will be ready in just minutes, and will take even lesser time to eat. While you work from home and stay at home to keep yourself safe, make sure you eat healthily as well.
