Preparation
Chop onions and tomatoes
Wash and soak masoor dal
Saute the onions and garlic for a minute
Add the tomatoes and saute again for a minute
Add sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt, saute for another minute
Add the dal and keep stirring for 2 minutes
Pressure cook all of them for 2 whistles
Cool and blend
Serve hot with a dash of lime
