Ingredients for 4 rolls:
1 egg (size M)
120 g fine oatmeal
100 g grated carrot
270 g skyr or low-fat quark
A pinch of salt
2 tsp baking powder
Optional: sesame, sunflower, or pumpkin seeds
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for conventional ovens. Line a tray with parchment paper.
Peel and grate the carrot . Then mix with the rest of the ingredients. Note, the dough will be quite sticky. Form into 4 rolls and place on the baking tray. Slightly cut the surface with a serrated knife. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame or pumpkin seeds.
Bake the oatmeal rolls for about 25–30 minutes until they have a golden brown color. Let them cool before serving.
NOTE- So what are the best quark substitutes? Cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, ricotta cheese, Greek yogurt culture, mascarpone cheese, and crème fraîche are all good alternatives to quark cheese, though you really owe it to yourself to try making this fantastic cheese yourself to find its own unique cheese
