Instant Moong Dal Halwa

 Ingredients: 

1 cup moong dal, 

2tbsp rava, 

2tbsp besan,

1 cup ghee, 

3/4 sugar, 

1/4 cup chopped dry fruits,  

kesar strands,  

Cardamom powder, 

2 cup water 


Method:
 

Wash the moong dal nicely & drain the excess water or take a kitchen towel and remove the excess water..

Once done  dry roast the moong dal till the colour changes to light brown ( don't over roast it). 

Keep it aside to cool & once it is cooled grind it into fine powder. 

Now heat a kadhai with heavy bottom & add ghee to it, further to it add besan and rava.. 

Roast it for a while & to it add moong dal powder and roast it till the ghee separates and it turns aromatic.On the other side heat a pan & to it add water, sugar & kesar . Boil it till the sugar dissolves( don't over boil it). Further add this sugar syrup to the roasted moong dal mixture in 2 batches & mix nicely.. To it add cardamom powder and fry until the halwa leaves the pan.. In a small pan heat a tbsp of ghee & dry fruits , once golden,  pour it over the halwa. Halwa is ready to serve.


Note:  To make it more rich add 1/2 milk & 1/2 water. Sugar can be adjusted as per the taste.
