Ingredients:
• 4 large ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1 cup whole milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• Pinch of salt
Method
1. Prepare the Peaches: In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped peaches until smooth. You should have about 2 cups of peach puree.
2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the peach puree, granulated sugar, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
4. Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes, until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
5. Freeze the Ice Cream: Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
6. Serve: Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy the fresh, creamy taste of homemade peach ice cream!
