Peanut Katli

Peanuts have the same nutrition as almonds and cashew, but it is considered as their poor cousin, as its cost is less 😂. Many people love to eat peanuts in various forms, roasted, spiced, boiled  with the shell, then take pleasure in peeling the shell and eating it. It is added to many snacks too. The barfi/ katli made with peanuts looks in colour just like the cashew/ kaju katli, only the taste is slightly different.

Those with sweet tooth will relish any sweet.

 

Ingredients and Method

 

Peanuts  2 cups roast till crunchy and skin comes out,

Rub and remove the skin, grind to a fine pdr, sieve it add milk pdr 2 tbsp + cardamom pdr ½ tsp

Add sugar 1 cup, water ½ cup in a pan, boil for 4 minutes, 1 string syrup add

 The peanut pdr, cook on low flame to a smooth paste, add 1 tsp ghee cook, till it flows in a ribbon consistency, i.e. when you life the ladle, it forms like skirt/ saree pleats, in folds.

Press and knead till it forms a dough by rolling  gently on a butter paper.

Once it forms a dough, roll it  as thin as you want cut into desire shape and serve.
