Dried apricots - custard Delight

 INGREDIENTS AND METHOD

DRIED APRICOTS 400 GM, WASH AND SOAK OVERNIGHT

BREAK THE SEED , ADD THE NUTS ALONG WITH SUGAR WHEN YOU COOK IT

NUTS TASTE LIKE ALMONDS

SUGAR  1 CUP

CINNAMON 1" 

NUTS CHOPPED 6 TBSP, RESERVE SOME FOR GARNISHING

WATER TO COVER THE APRICOTS SO THAT IT GETS COOKED AND SOFT

 

IN ANOTHER PAN , ADD   1 LITER MILK, IN WHICH YOU MIX 3 TBSP OF VANILLA CUSTARD POWDER  WELL. ADD SUGAR 3 TBSP, MIX WELL, KEEP STIRRING OR LUMPS FOR COME AS CUSTARD GETS COOKED. ONCE IT THICKENS, REMOVE FROM GAS, COOL AND REFRIGERATE IT, COVERING WITH A LID OR WITH A CLING FILM, SO THE CRUST DOESN'T FORM ON TOP.

IN A HEAVY PAN/ KADAI, ADD APRICOTS, NUTS, SUGAR, WATER AND CINNAMON, LET IT GET COOKED TO A THICK MIXTURE.  EITHER YOU CAN SERVE IT COLD ALONG WITH CUSTARD OR PUT COLD CUSTARD ON TOP AND SERVE WITH SOME CHOPPED NUTS.
