Chana dal barfi

 INGREDIENTS AND METHOD

Chana dal  1 cup

Wash and soak for 1 hour

Put in a big pan, adding milk 1 cup and water 1 ½ cups

Pinch salt, stir on and off, cook until dal is soft. cool it.

Grind it  with milk ½ cup

Heat a kadai add 2 tbsp ghee and the dal paste,  keep cooking, stirring continuously, adding 2 more tbsp ghee, cook for 5-6 minutes

 Add ½ cup jaggery, keep cooking till the jaggery is well absorbed,

Last add cardamom pdr ½ tsp, mix well, remove, spread on a greased plate, spread some cut nut pieces on top, press it down.

Let it set, then cut into desired pieces.
