When you think of peas, you may at once think of matar -paneer, peas pulao, aloo-matar and so on. I'm sure that you never thought that you'ld make a nice green pudding with peas, it is a royal dessert of the Mewars !
INGREDIENTS
peas shelled, boiled and made into a fine paste 1 cup
ghee 1/4 cup
milk 1 cup
sugar 4 tbsp or to taste
nuts, raisins as desired
cardamom pdr 1/2 tsp
METHOD
In a heavy kadai, heat ghee, add the peas paste and keep stirring it, till the raw smell goes.
Then add milk, keep cooking till all the milk is absorbed.
Now add sugar and cardamom pdr , keep stirring till the sugar is all absorbed
As the mixture begins to thicken, add nuts, raisins, mix well.
It will have a lovely green colour as if made with pistachio, garnish with some chopped nuts and serve hot.
