Chiku milkshakes are yummy, but chiku ice cream is even better! This dessert is a simple summertime indulgence that you are sure to love. You need only 5 ingredients to make it.
Ingredients of Chiku Ice Cream
- 10 chikus (sapota/ sapodilla)
- 1/2 Cup fresh cream
- 1 Cup sugar
- 300 Ml milk (full fat)
- 1/2 Cup milk powder
How to Make Chiku Ice Cream
1.Clean and peel the chikus. Remove their seeds and dice them.
2.Place the chiku pieces in a mixer and blend to form a puree.
3.In
a large bowl, add the milk, milk powder, cream and sugar. Using a hand
mixer/ whisk, combine the ingredients well. Take care to avoid lumps.
4.Add the chiku puree to this mixture and blend well. (Alternatively, you can blend all ingredients using a stand mixer).
5.Once
blended, transfer the ice cream mix to an airtight container and freeze
it. After 2 hours, blend the ice cream base again and refreeze in the
same container.
6.After around 3 hours, remove the ice cream base and churn it again.
7.Freeze it in the airtight container for 8-10 hours. Enjoy chilled and garnish with extra chiku pieces.
