Lapsi halwa

 INGREDIENTS

lapsi / broken wheat 1 cup

ghee  1 cup

milk   1 cup

sugar  1/2-3/4 cup as per taste / gur

nuts and raisins 

cardamom pdr  1/2 tsp


METHOD

In a heavy kadai, heat ghee, add lapsi and keep frying on medium flame till brown.

Keep stirring for a few more minutes, add milk, mix well, keep stirring till milk is absorbed.

add sugar, keep stirring till sugar melts and is completely incorporated.

add cardamom pdr, nuts and raisins, reserving some for garnishing

once the halwa leaves the sides and comes together, serve at once garnish with nuts and raisins.
