Guava sabzi in gravy

Just never thought of this combo ! Well, each time you see or read, then one can imagine the great variety of our Indian cuisine. In each state, it varies a lot, mostly according to what is locally available. The produce locally and seasonally available are rich in nutrients.

 

INGREDIENTS

guava 4 cut into small pieces

ghee  2 tbsp

jeera 1 tsp

hing little

tomato 1 big chopped

curd 1/4 cup beaten well

green chili paste 1 tsp

ginger paste 1 tsp

turmeric pdr 1/2 tsp

salt to taste

chili pdr to taste


PREPARATIONS

heat ghee in a kadai/ pan

add jeera, once it splutters, add hing, green chili and ginger paste

fry well, adding little water, add turmeric and little chili pdr, mix well

add tomato add little sugar and salt, let it cook well

add curd, mix well, let it boil, add guava pieces, little water, salt to taste

cover and cook for 4-5 minutes

serve hot with bakri roti cooked over hot coal

it is a hard roti, smear ghee on top. 

When you eat sabzi with roti, you'll be amazed at the combination.
