Pro-kabab

It is mainly a vegetarian kabab, as vegetarians lack good protein, this kabab contains one of the best proteins for veges- soya chunks/ granules you may use and dals.

INGREDIENTS

soya chunks 1 cup washed,  put in hot water, rinse and squeeze out

 chana dal 1/2 cup soaked for 2 hours and drained

garlic minced 3-4 pearls

ginger finely chopped 1 tbsp

green chilies chopped to taste

hing little

onion chopped 1 cup

coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup

salt to taste

oil for shallow frying + 2 tbsp

garam masala pdr  1/2 tsp

 

PREPARATIONS

in a kadai, heat 2 tbsp oil, add hing, onion with little salt, fry till light pink

along with ginger garlic and green chilies till garlic smell goes

now add chana dal fry for few minutes, add little water, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes

add soya chunks, mix all well , add garam masala pdr mix well, remove

cool little grind to a coarse paste add salt to taste and coriander leaves, mix well, if need be add little breadcrumbs to bind

heat a tawa/ pan with little oil, make kababs, shallow fry on medium flame till brown on both sides

serve hot with mint chutney, spicy tomato chutney
