Make instant raita with this delicious, flavourful, and mouth-watering masala mix. Once made you can store it in an airtight container for up-to six months.
Ingredients:
Pudina/Mint leaves - 2 cups
Coriander seeds - 1/2 cup
Cumin/jeera seeds - 1/4th cup
Pepper corns- 2 tsp
Dry red chili - 2
Hing(asafoetida) - 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Black salt- 1/2 tsp
Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp(optional)
To make Mint powder:
roast coriander seeds, jeera, peppercorns, dry red chilies well. Cool and powder it in a mixer jar, to slight coarse powder.
Wash and dry fresh mint leaves and microwave for 3 minutes at 1 min intervals. Once it cools down, crush to make a powder.
add mint leaves crushed, hing, black salt and garlic powder to the powdered masala, mix well. Store in a clean, dry jar, add 1-2 tsp when you make raita, depending on the quantity.
