Toffee raisin pie


Toffee raisin pie
Raisins 1 cup                            water                                     gelatin 1 packet                                                   egg yolks 4                             Salt 1/8 tsp                              vanilla 1 tbsp       
Brown sugar 1/3 cup                cream 1 cup                         candy bar 7 ounces cut
9” pie shell

Cover raisins with water, heat to boiling point.
Drain, cool & chop.
Sprinkle gelatin on 1/3 cup water to soften it.
Place over low heat, stirring until it is dissolved.
Beat egg yolks with salt until light, add brown sugar & vanilla & continue beating until it is very light.
Beat in dissolved gelatin, whip cream till stiff, fold into egg mixture, along with raisins & half of the candy bars,
Pour into a pie shell, sprinkle top with remaining candy bar. Chill until firm.
