Ginger upside down pudding


Ginger upside down pudding

Butter 60gm
Brown sugar 10 gm- cream these two together & spread it over the bottom of the round  greased cake tin.

Cooking apples 2
Butter 120 gm
Castor sugar 120 gm
Eggs 2
Flour 120 gm
Baking pdr 2 tsp
Milk 2-3 tbsp

Method
1)      peel, core & thinly slices apples.
2)      Arrange the fruit over the layers of creamed fat.
3)      Sift together2 level tsp pf pdr ginger with flour & baking pdr.
4)      Cream remaining fat, sugar until pale & fluffy.
5)      Add the beaten egg, a little at a time & beat well after each addition.
6)      Fold in the sifted ingredients adding some milk to get a dropping consistency.
7)      Spread on top of the fruit & bake at the centre of an oven at 175 deg C for about 45 minutes or till done.
8)      Turn out on a dish & serve hot with a jam sauce.
