Well, we've all heard and eaten sabudana kichadi, vada, kheer and also vadam- like dried papads to fry and eat. But, today, for the 1st time, saw a chef making sabudana waffle. Wanted to share with you all. I may miss some ingredients, I'm sure one can always add what they like, that's what I do, when I try any recipe, substitute with either what I've or what masala I like. I'm sure there's no hard and fast rule that one must use only these masalas always, try a different taste, I like to experiment too.
INGREDIENTS
sabudana 1 cup, washed, soaked for 3-4 hours and drained well
Potatoes 2 big mashed
onion 1 finely chopped
capsicum red, yellow and green 2 tbsp of each, or use what you've
green chilies 2-3 chopped as per taste
coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
paneer grated 1 cup
cheese grated 1/2 cup
salt to taste
coriander pdr 1 tsp
roasted jeera pdr 1 tsp
garam masala pdr 1/2 tsp
chaat masala pdr 1/2 tsp
amchur pdr 1/2 tsp
butter for greasing
METHOD
in a big bowl, add sabudana, mashed potatoes , all the ingredients well.
you may add anything else you need or omit as you please.
heat the waffle maker
brush with butter on both sides
take a big ball of the prepared mixture spread it on one side of the waffle maker. Take another ball and spread on the other side of the waffle maker. spread some more butter on top, close and let it cook.
