Red lentil and carrot soup

This lentil is high in protein and can be cooked quickly, making it perfect for a filling and nutritious soup. Additionally, carrots, which are low in calories and promote a feeling of fullness, can aid in weight loss, according to a study published in a magazine recently. Follow this recipe for red lentil and carrot soup:

 Ingredients

1 cup red lentils (rinsed), / masoor dal

2 carrots (diced), 

1 onion (chopped), 

2 garlic cloves (minced), 

1 tsp cumin, 

1 tsp turmeric,

4 cups vegetable broth

1 tbsp lemon juice, 

salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions

Sauté onion, garlic, and spices in a pot for 2-3 minutes.

Add carrots, lentils, and broth, then bring to a boil.

Simmer for 20-25 minutes until lentils are tender.

Stir in lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and serve.
