Panettone with chocolate chips

 Ingredients

For the panettone:

For the topping:

    • In a kneader, knead the flour and the salt.
      Mix together the fresh yeast with the warm milk and the warm water. Add this mix to the flour and salt and knead during 1 minute.
    • Panettone with chocolate chips (Chocottone) - Preparation step 2Add the egg while kneading then cover with a kitchen towel and leave to rest 30 minutes.
    • Add the egg yolks, the brown sugar and the soft butter gradually. Knead 5 minutes. Cover with plastic foil and leave to rest 2 hours.
    • Panettone with chocolate chips (Chocottone) - Preparation step 4Incorporate the chocolate chips into the dough.

 

  • Panettone with chocolate chips (Chocottone) - Preparation step 5Pour the dough in a buttered panettone mold and leave to rest 1 hour. Make a cross on top and brush the top with melted butter.
