Lentil soup for weight loss

One of the best high protein soups is lentil soup, which is high in protein and fiber, both of which are crucial for weight loss, as per a study published recently. The fiber helps keep you feeling full longer, reducing the chances of overeating, while the protein supports muscle building and metabolic health. Follow this lentil soup recipe:

 Moong dal soup

Ingredients

1 cup lentils (rinsed)

1 carrot (diced)

1 onion (chopped)

2 garlic cloves (minced)

4 cups vegetable broth

1 tsp cumin, salt and pepper to taste 


Method

  • In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the carrots, cumin, and lentils. Stir for 2 minutes.
  • Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, until lentils are tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper before serving.
