Best Eggless Chocolate Walnut Cake

 Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup All purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup + 4 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1/4 Cup chopped Walnuts { + 2 tablespoon chopped walnuts for topping}
  • 3 Teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven at 180 C / 350 F for 10 minutes. Grease a cake tin.

  2. Add white vinegar into the milk and mix. Leave this for 10 minutes. The milk will get curdled. 

  3. Add oil and sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix till sugar melts. 

  4. Now add the curdled milk (buttermilk). Mix nicely.

  5. Add vanilla essence and mix well.

  6. In a separate bowl, put a sieve and add all purpose flour (maida), cocoa powder and baking powder. Sieve. Add chopped walnuts and give it a mix so that the walnuts get coated with the flour mixture. 

  7. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. 

  8. Mix till a uniform cake batter is formed. 

  9. Add the cake batter into the cake tin. Top it with chopped walnuts. 

  10. Bake at 180 C / 350 F for 30-35 minutes or till a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
