Ingredients
sabudana 1 cup
potatoes boiled and mashed 4
coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
curry leaves chopped 1 tsp
jeera 1 tsp
peanuts crushed 1/4 cup
oil for cooking
rice flour 1-2 tbsp
salt to taste
green chilies finely chopped to taste
Method
wash well sabudana, soak in just enough water, as it should absorb the water completely, takes about 4 hours
mash the potatoes in a big bowl, add the soaked sabudana, and rest of the ingredients except oil.
mix all the ingredients well together, you can roll into big orange size balls
take a ball, put on a greased plastic sheet, cover with another plastic sheet and roll it with a rolling pin thin.
heat a tawa, put the rolled out sabudana on the hot tawa, make little holes in the thalipeeth, add little oil in the holes and around, cook on medium heat, once the bottom is cooked, flip it to cook on the other side till brown adding little oil, if need be the tawa can be covered with a lid.
serve hot the thalipeeth as it is or with chutney of your choice- coconut, mint, onion/ tomato chutney.
