Jowar soup

Ingredients:

  • Jowar grains: 1/4 cup
  • Chopped vegetables (carrots, celery, onions): 1 cup
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable broth: 3 cups
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley): for garnish

Method:

  • Soak the jowar grains in water for a few hours, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté the garlic and onions until soft.
  • Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
  • Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  • Add the soaked jowar grains, salt, and pepper.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the jowar is cooked.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.
