Jowar pancakes

Ingredients:

  • Jowar flour: 1 cup
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp
  • A pinch of salt
  • Milk (or plant-based milk): 1 cup
  • Egg (or flaxseed egg for vegan): 1
  • Honey or maple syrup: 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Oil or butter: for cooking

Method:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk, egg, and honey (if using), and whisk until smooth.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil or butter.
  • Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and cook until bubbles form on the surface.
  • Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with fresh fruits or yoghurt.

These recipes are not only nutritious but also aid in weight loss by providing high fiber, low glycemic index, and essential nutrients.
