This Terrific Drink Will Keep You Healthy and Thin!

There are many methods that help with weight loss. Some are more arduous than others, but I doubt there is a simpler and more effective way than drinking fennel seed water throughout the day. This golden drink, which you can easily make at home, has such a refreshing, clean scent you'll feel it working even before you sip it. It has a taste that reminds one of licorice, and it also freshens the breath.

I highly recommend knowing about this drink and the simple ways of making it, so you too can sip it every day and enjoy its slimming properties. I started drinking fennel seed water a few months ago, and I can definitely attest to a change in my life. This is a very old remedy that helps weight loss, originating in India, and it works remarkably well.

How does fennel seed water help with weight loss? I
n addition to fennel seeds containing potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and vitamins A and C, they also offer a variety of health benefits that aid our weight loss:

1. Accelerates metabolism: Our metabolism is the rate at which our cells use the energy we gain from the food we eat. By boosting and accelerating this process, the calories we consume are used by our cells more rapidly, which both gives us energy and helps us burn fat from our body.

2. Suppresses hunger: The fennel seed water prevents muscle contraction, which helps with our hunger pangs by relaxing the stomach muscles, and so we feel less hungry.

3. Purifies the blood: Fennel seed water helps dump the remnants of urine acid in the blood, and in addition, breaks down stomach acids to prevent the accumulation of additional fat in the liver.

4. Helps with toxin clean-up: In today's world, we are beset by toxins at every corner: car exhaust fumes, cosmetics, polluted water and meat. Fennel seed water helps wash the body, purifying it from these toxins and removing them through the kidneys.

5. Encourages the production of melatonin: Melatonin is the hormone responsible for our sleep cycles. A good night's sleep is between 6 and 9 hours, and is essential for good health and the appropriate body weight. Drinking fennel seed water helps make sure that the melatonin levels in our body work in our favor and prevent insomnia.

Note: This doesn't mean the drink will make you sleep, quite the opposite: during the day you will feel like you have extra energy, but you will notice it is easier to fall asleep come bedtime.

If you'd like to begin with caution, start with 1-2 glasses a day and see how your body reacts. Slowly, you can raise that amount to 4 glasses per day (1 liter). In addition, even though this is a completely natural drink, you should check for allergies or any pre-existing conditions (for example, this drink should not be drunk by pregnant women)

Recipes for fennel seed water Preparing the fennel seed water is a very simple process that will do miracles for your body. There are two "recipes" one can follow. The first includes cooking in boiling water and cooling them, and the second includes soaking the seeds overnight. Pick the method most suitable for you, and start taking better care of your health and weight.

A few tips: It is recommended to use filtered water, the cleanest you can drink. To add aroma to the beverage, you can roast the fennel seeds in a pan until they release their sweet scent (about 20 seconds). It's recommended one starts with a small amount (about half what appears in the recipes). If you like the drink and feel like you've finally found your method for losing weight, continue drinking it every day.
mouse, computer, tips
Method #1: Cooking the fennel seed water

Ingredients:
1 liter water
• 2 tablespoons fennel seeds
• Glass jar

Instructions:
• Bring the liter of water to a boil in a pot - you can also pour boiling water straight from the kettle. When the water begins to boil, throw the fennel seeds into them and immediately put out the heat. Cover the pot with a lid and let the water cool to room temperature.

• When the water has fully cooled, your fennel seed water is ready. All you have to do is transfer it to a jar that can be sealed tight, and drink it throughout the day. You can make a bigger batch and store it in the fridge if you don't have the time to make a new batch each day. Just double or triple the ingredients.

Method #2:

Permouse, computer, tipsPersonally, I prefer the following method because it's easier to make, and when I wake up in the morning I can just take it with me as I leave the house. It doesn't use heat, either, and so there's no risk of harming the quality of the fennel seeds.

Ingredients:
• 1 liter water
• 2 tablespoons fennel seeds
• Glass jar

Instructions:
• All you need to do is take a glass jar, put 2 tablespoons of fennel seeds in it and fill it up with a liter of water, similar to the first recipe.
• Close the lid of the jar and let it sit for the night. In the beginning you'll see the seeds float, but by morning they will have sunk to the bottom.

How much fennel seed water should I drink throughout the day?
Although this drink helps with weight loss, drinking more of it will not make the process any quicker. Like everything else in life, this drink should be drunk in moderation. Follow the instructions in the recipe and make a daily batch with 1 liter of water, sipping it throughout the day.

• 1 garlic clove, minced

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, plus a little extra for the top

2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Meanwhile, spray a mini muffin tin with non-stick spray.

3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together all of the ingredients until combined.

Freeze These Foods to Reduce Waste and Save Money

I don’t know about you, but every time I have to throw away food that spoils I feel a pang for the waste of both money, time, and perfectly good groceries I've lost. Luckily, a friend of mine told me that I can freeze a lot of the groceries I buy, so they’ll last longer. I’ve tried and tested this method, and it works! I haven’t thrown away hardly any food in the three months since I began, and now it’s my turn to teach you.

1. Cheese
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Freeze it by the block, and then let it thaw completely so it won’t crumble. If you prefer shredded cheese, put it in a Ziploc bag and add a little cornstarch (to prevent clumping).

2. Pancakes, Waffles, and French Toast
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Make a large batch and freeze it for a quick breakfast anytime. Remember to put a cooking sheet between each piece to make it easier for you to separate them.

3. Fruits
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Freeze them first on a cookie sheet so they won’t clump, and then move them into Ziploc bags. If you want to freeze bananas, but don’t want them to turn mushy when you defrost them, freeze them with the skin on.

4. Cooked Rice
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Cook a large batch and spread it into small bags. It’s a great solution for when you don’t have time to make rice, or for brown rice that requires a lot of time to cook.

5. Pies

foods-didnt-know-freeze

Make your favorite pie, and then freeze it before baking. Once you feel like eating some pie, or you have guests over, take it out of the freezer and throw it in the oven for 2 hours at 200°F (95°C) and enjoy.

6. Corn
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Don’t remove the husk, just put it in a Ziploc bag and freeze it. When you’re ready to eat it, take it out and put the frozen cob in the microwave for 4 minutes on high (5 if you want 2 ears).

7. Cooked Pasta
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Next time you’re making pasta, cook the whole bag, then just freeze any leftovers you have in individually-portioned bags.

8. Flour
foods-didnt-know-freeze
This is a great way to kill any “stowaways” (flour mites) – just freeze the flour for 3-4 days, or store it in the freezer indefinitely. Be sure to double-wrap the flour to prevent the forming of condensation.

9. Pesto
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Store-bought or home-made, pesto is a great addition to pasta, and best of all – leaving it in the freezer means it won’t spoil for ages.

10. Mashed Potatoes
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Freeze individual portions on a cookie sheet, and then transfer to Ziploc bags. The mash will stay fresh for at least 2 months.

11. Cookie dough
 foods-didnt-know-freeze
If you’re making cookies, make a large batch of dough, and freeze individual cookie-sized bits on a cookie sheet. Once frozen, transfer them to a bag and then you can always prepare fresh cookies whenever you want.

12. Chili and Soup
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Leftover soup or chili can often taste even better after being frozen. Remember to leave space in the container for expansion.

13. Broth and Stock
foods-didnt-know-freeze
If you have any leftover broth or stock, freeze it and use next time you’re cooking – no need to make it again from scratch.

14. Sandwiches
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Make a week’s worth of sandwiches and freeze them, and then take one out every morning and leave it in your lunchbox. By break time it’ll thaw out and be ready to eat. Just remember that mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes don’t freeze well.

15. Potato Chips
foods-didnt-know-freeze
Got a party next month, but there’s a sale of potato chips now? Buy them and store them in the freezer. Another bonus for doing this is that frozen chips usually taste even better.

16. Bread
foods-didnt-know-freeze
If your favorite bread is on sale, stock up and freeze it all. Individual slices will take between 30 seconds to 1 minute to defrost in the microwave, or toss them in a toaster. You can do the same for most types of baked goods.

17. Diced Veggies
foods-didnt-know-freeze
To freeze diced veggies, spread them flat out on a baking sheet and put in the freezer overnight, then transfer into Ziploc bags.

18.Dough
foods-didnt-know-freeze

Whether it’s homemade or store-bought, you can freeze dough (covered in saran wrap) and use it whenever you need it.

19. Marinated Meat
foods-didnt-know-freeze
One of the best ways to marinate meat is to put it in a Ziploc bag with the marinade sauce and freeze it. During the freezing and thawing process, the marinade soaks into the meat.
