Ingredients and Prep
fried chana dal/ pottukadalai 1 cup fry on low flame for 2 minutes, cool and powder with 2 cardamoms
in a pan add, 1 cup jaggery and 2 cups of water, cook till jaggery melts
in a pan add ghee 3 tbsp add the powdered dal, fry well, keep frying for a few minutes
pour half of the jaggery water, strained, mix well add saffron colour, a pinch of salt, mix well, add the remaining jaggery water, mix well,keep cooking till it all comes together add 1-2 tbsp ghee, mix well ,either pour on a greased plate, spread and let it set or you can scoop rounds and serve.
