I love pineapples. Sadly, off late, I get blisters in my tongue when I eat pineapple. I just thought let me make a partially healthy halwa/ pudding. I used oats and sugar.
Ingredients and Prep
chopped pineapple 1 cup
oats 1/4 cup
sugar 3 tbsp or as per taste
saffron little
ghee 1 tbsp
I blend pineapple and oats together, removed the paste in a microwave safe bowl , put some water in the blender to remove the remaining mixture stuck around the jar.
I added sugar, saffron, mixed well, micro high for 3 minutes, removed, mixed well, again kept on micro high for another 3 minutes.
after mixing well, now kept for 2 minutes, twice, mixing well each time.
now i kept for 1 1/2 minutes, twice, mixed well, then added ghee, mixed well
kept twice for 1 1/2 minutes till I felt that it was thick enough.
Having a sweet tooth, but it shouldn't be overly sweet for me. I loved this halwa.
Note- not necessary that the ratio of pineapple and oats be the same, you may add maida or cornflour too. I wanted it to be a bit healthy, hence added oats. Sugar can be increased if you want it sweeter, it also depends on how sweet is your pineapple.
