Ingredients
1 cup Ghee
1 cup ( or 3/4) cup powdered sugar ..depends on how sweet you like the biscuits .
1/2 cup Maida
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/3 cup very fine Semolina or chiroti rava
1/4 cup besan ( kadalai maavu )
½ tsp. Baking Powder
¼ tsp. Baking Soda
pinch of Cardamom Powder
tiny pinch of Salt
sliced Pistachios or almonds for garnish
Directions
in a big bowl add all the dry ingredients, mix well
in another bowl add pdr sugar and melted ghee, beat both well till nice and smooth
add the ghee mixture to the dry ingredients to make a smooth dough.
roll into small balls, flatten on top slightly, put some chopped nuts press it down little
bake in a pre-heated oven @ 180 deg. C for 12-15 minutes, till the nankhatais are golden.
Cool on a wire rack, once completely cooled, store in an airtight container.
