Mushroom Popcorn with Garlic-honey sauce

 Ingredients

mushrooms chopped into small squares  1 cup

maida/ all purpose flour 1/2 cup

bread crumbs  1/2- 3/4 cup 

salt and chili pdr to taste

pepper pdr little

water to make batter

oil for frying 


for sauce

garlic finely chopped 2 tbsp

chili flakes  1 tbsp

honey  1/2 cup

water  1/4 cup

salt to taste

corn flour slurry 2 tbsp

lemon juice 2 tsp

oil  1 tbsp

butter  1 tbsp

spring onion green to garnish finely chopped 1-2 tbsp


Method for popcorn

make batter with flour, salt, pepper and chili pdr neither too thick nor thin

dip the mushroom pieces well in batter, remove with fork or spoon, draining batter, put in breadcrumbs spread on a plate, coat the breadcrumbs well on the mushroom, shaking with your hand remove excess crumbs, keep the coated mushrooms on a plate and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes or freezer for 10 minutes, fry in hot oil till golden, drain on kitchen paper towel, serve with honey-garlic sauce


For sauce

in a pan, heat oil and butter, add garlic, fry well for 2 minutes, add chili flakes, fry well or a minute

add honey, fry well once it boils add lemon juice, mix well, add water and salt to taste

then add corn flour slurry, let it boil, remove, garnish with spring onion greens and serve along with popcorn !
