Ingredients

1 (12-oz.) package orecchiette pasta

1 head broccoli (8 oz.), cut into 1-in. pieces (3 cups)

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed ( veg can add tofu/ soy chunks soaked in boiling water and drained)

2 cups marinara sauce (from 1 [24-oz.] jar)

4 oz. cream cheese

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1/4 cup)
Directions

Preheat oven, and cook pasta and broccoli:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook pasta in generously salted water according to package directions in a large pot, adding broccoli during final 2 minutes cook time. Drain; return pasta and broccoli to pot.

Cook sausage:
Cook sausage in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high, stirring often and breaking up sausage with a wooden spoon, until cooked through and no longer pink, about 10 minutes.

Add sauce ingredients to pasta and bake:
Add sausage, marinara sauce, cream cheese, and salt to pasta mixture in pot; stir to combine. Return mixture to skillet; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until golden and bubbly, 15 to 18 minutes.
