kela-karela-kaju saag

Ingredients

kela/ raw banana 2 cut into 3" long X 1/2 "thick pieces soaked in water with haldi
karela/ bitter gourd parboiled in buttermilk to remove its bitterness  1/4 cup
haldi  1/2 tsp
water 1/2- 1 cup
hing  1/8 tsp
kaju  1 tbsp
raisins  1 tbsp
kaju crushed  3 tsp
salt to taste
gur/ jaggery  3 tsp
lime juice  1/2 tsp
til  2 tsp
chilli pdr.  1 tsp
jeera pdr.  2 tsp
oil  3 tbsp

Method
in a pan, add oil, once hot, add hing and haldi, add kela drained, fry till half done
add salt, nuts, raisins, cover and cook on low flame till kela is cooked
add karela, water  1/4 cup, jeera pdr, chilli pdr, til, cook for 3 minutes on low flame
add more water if karela needs to be cooked
once karela is cooked, add gur, cook till it is melted, add kaju pdr., mix well
remove, add lime juice
serve it hot with rice/ roti/ bread
