Breadfruit cutlet

Ingredients
breadfruit about 1/2 kg
onion 1 big chopped fine
green chilli  1
coriander leaves  1/4 cup finely chopped
salt to taste
potatoes  200 gm
ginger finely chopped  2 tsp
garlic chopped  2 tsp
oil  2 tbsp
oil for frying

for coating
maida/ all purpose flour  1/2 cup
bread crumbs


Method
peel the breadfruit, cut into 4, remove the core, then chop into big pieces
peel and cut the potatoes into big pieces
cook breadfruit and potatoes in a pressure cooker with a pinch of turmeric pdr.  and salt
drain the excess water and mash well
heat oil about 2 tbsp, saute onion, chillies, garlic, ginger, cook till onion is soft
add the mashed breadfruit and potatoes, coriander leaves
add salt and mix well, remove, cool slightly
take small portions, shape into cutlets as you desire ( heart shape/ oval/ round)
make a batter with maida and water
dip each cutlet in the batter, roll in bread crumbs
deep fry in hot oil till brown
drain well, serve hot with chutney/ ketchup
